CBBRC visits Sagara workers’ camp

December 2, 2016

Crispin B. Beltran Resource Center is one with the workers of Sagara Metro Plastics Industrial Corporation, as they protest the unjust termination of the contractual workers. The management of SMPIC retrenched the workers, saying that the company is going bankrupt. However, the workers believe that they were retrenched after discovering that they were organizing themselves into a union.

The staff of CBBRC visited the camp site last November 21, 2016. The staff listened to the workers discuss their situation.
